Welcome to Miami...

...and welcome to my new blog.  I thought it only fitting that I kick it off with some photos from my recent trip to Miami.  After all, it was during my stint as a resident there that my appreciation of all things ugly, unusual, and run-down developed.  I'm sure there are quite lovelier things to take pictures of...the ocean, palm trees,sweaty bodies scantily clad on the beach, sweaty bodies scantily clad in the club...but in all honesty I prefer the dumpsters and gritty bathrooms.  The dirtier the better...probably cleaner than some of those scantily clad bodies with even a touch more personality.
